PAWEŁ TRYBALSKI Born on 1937 r.

"Paweł Trybalski's world is to be defined, to be put into words, although seemingly - there is a lot of literature in it. Maybe it's surrealism, maybe s-f, maybe metaphor. A world that is concrete and non-existent at the same time. Of matter and spirit. (…) Trybalski is an artist who is extremely conscious and although there is so much magic in his paintings - it is the mind and not the instinct of the painter that brings to life his theatre on canvas" - Elżbieta Dzikowska in the catalogue of "Pejzaże możliwe, z cyklu widoki z bulaya".

Paweł Trybalski was born on 7 December 1937 in Hostynne-Kolonia in the Hrubieszów district. He learned the technique by studying the works of the great masters himself. Since 1970 he has been a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers. He is associated with surrealism and metaphorical painting. In his work one can distinguish the following themes: symbolic, metaphorical, fantastic, cosmic, natural, ecological, religious and satirical.

He has won many awards at home and abroad, and has been awarded, among others, the Golden Cross of Merit and, in 2010, the bronze medal for "Meritorious Service to Culture - Gloria Artis". He has taken part in over 300 exhibitions in Poland and abroad including Japan, USA, Australia, Holland, Spain, Germany, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic.
